Celebrating the Diverse Culture and Heritage of the Wild, Wild West!
Roll into Andrews, TX for the Wild, Wild West Fest, offering everyone a slice of pure Texas fun. The night skies will be filled with music and dancing under the stars to some of the best Texas Country and TexMex music in the Lone Star State! Friday night, circle up the wagons and join us for an evening of exceptional entertainment provided by the Flying J Wranglers of Ruidoso, NM. Saturday night, you won’t want to miss in concert!
There will be plenty of family activities, from Goat Roping and a Ranch Rodeo to Wild West entertainment and a Living History area. Test your quick draw by challenging one of our professional gunslingers, or enjoy performances by Folkloric Dancers, Country Line Dancers, Mariachi Bands, Cowboy Poetry, Escaramuzas and so much more!!
For the thrill seekers, we’ll have the Heart of America Carnival. And, there will be plenty of shopping with over 50,000 square feet of vendor booths, a fly-in pilots’ breakfast, parade, antique tractors and car shows.
In addition, we’re rustlin’ in the best cooks in these parts! Come take in the sights & smells of the Texas ShootOut BBQ Cook-off (IBCA sanctioned Jack Daniels qualifying cook-off!) Following the final turn in, judging will begin for the SCA sanctioned Steak Cook-off. 2017 will feature a new Chuck Wagon Cook-off – tickets for the Saturday afternoon meal are available for pre-sale through the Chamber of Commerce by calling 432-523-2695. And, just so you don’t feel guilty about eating all of that great food, Saturday morning we’ll host a 5K Walk/Run. So, put on your running shoes and work up an appetite!
